2026 Youth Provincials Tournament - March 6th - 8th, 2026

Alberta Basketball is proud to host the 2026 Youth Provincials (YP) Tournament in Calgary, Alberta, with games taking place across multiple venues throughout the city. The YP Tournament serves as the provincial championship for community youth basketball and marks the culmination of the fall-winter season.

Held annually in March, the event brings together more than 100 boys’ and girls’ teams from across Alberta for two full days of high-level competition. Youth Provincials is designed to:

  • Celebrate grassroots basketball

  • Provide a high-quality competitive environment

  • Bring communities together from across Alberta

  • Highlight the development of young athletes and coaches

     


 

2026 Youth Provincials Open Declarations

Alberta Basketball invites competitive youth teams to apply for a limited "open declaration" spot in the 2026 Youth Provincials in Calgary, AB, from Friday, March 6th, to Sunday, March 8th, 2026.

Declaration is Mandatory to Play. Submitting this formal Open Declaration application is required for all teams seeking one of the 2 open declaration spots per division.

Note: Application shows interest but does not guarantee entry or complete official team registration. Alberta Basketball will review all applications for fair competition and eligibility.
 
Every team must submit a declaration. 
 
Next Steps: Selected teams will be contacted directly with confirmation, registration deadlines, payment instructions, and next steps to secure their spot.
 
Fee information - Full payment is required prior to participation in the Youth Provincials. 
 
Tournament Fees
 
Full payment of the tournament fees by the deadline is mandatory for official registration. 
  • 11U, 13U Boys & Girls, Division 1-4 (5-on-5 Full Court): $575 - March 6-7, 2026

  • 15U Boys & Girls, Division 1-4 (5-on-5 Full Court): $575 - March 7-8, 2026

  • 18U Boys, Division 1 & 2 (5-on-5 Full Court): $575 - March 7-8, 2026

  • 18U Girls (3x3 Half Court): $275 - March 7th, 2026
