2026 Youth Provincials Tournament March 6th - 8th, 2026
Alberta Basketball is proud to host the 2026 Youth Provincials (YP) Tournament in Calgary, Alberta, with games taking place across multiple venues throughout the city. The YP Tournament serves as the provincial championship for community youth basketball and marks the culmination of the fall-winter season.
Held annually in March, the event brings together more than 100 boys’ and girls’ teams from across Alberta for two full days of high-level competition. Youth Provincials is designed to:
Celebrate grassroots basketball
Provide a high-quality competitive environment
Bring communities together from across Alberta
Highlight the development of young athletes and coaches
Technical Meetings (via video conferencing)
Attendance at these meetings is MANDATORY for one registered coach from each attending team (preferably the Head Coach).

Volunteers are at the heart of Youth Provincials every year. From helping at the merch table and event setup to welcoming teams and supporting game operations, it’s the dedication of community members that makes this tournament possible. We’re incredibly grateful for the amazing people who step up annually — their energy, generosity, and love of the game help create a positive, memorable experience for every athlete, coach, and fan. Quite simply, this event wouldn’t happen without them.

Fee information - Full payment is required prior to participation in the Youth Provincials.
Tournament Fees
Full payment of the tournament fees by the deadline is mandatory for official registration.
