Coaches Package Update

Good Morning Coaches!

Today is the day that YP25 kicks off and we are so excited to get this started! Thank you for attending the Coaches Technical Meeting.

Important Docs such as the Technical Package, Rules Modifications by age group and the Discipline Guidelines, along with the scores can all be found on our Youth Provincials 2025 Website.

Game Sheets *UPDATE*

All game sheets are at the gyms on the scoretable in the Handbook - please complete your rosters as soon as you arrive for your game and ensure that you have provided a scorekeeper or timekeeper for each of your games. 

*At the end of each game winning coaches must do one of the two following options:

  • Submit your game sheet to the Venue Coordinator on site if you are playing at PSH-North or the Rise/Surge Sports Complex
  • All other locations: Coaches must take a picture of the game sheet and submit it via WhatApp to Reagan Wood at 780-975-3504 or email reagan@albertabasketball.ca

Safe Sport Training - Did you complete yours?

For YP25, all participating coaches will be required to have completed the free Safe Sport Training module that is available online through the Coach Association of Canada (CAC). Coaches will not be allowed to coach their team if Safe Sport is not Completed before their first scheduled game.

Coaches Packages

Your coach packages are available for pick up at Blackfoot Hotel, downstairs in the Nakoda Room, Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday. 

Included in each package is a player and coach 50th Anniversary T-shirt and 3 - Player of the game shirts to acknowledge one of your players from each of your games. If you require a different size please come to HQ’s at Blackfoot Hotel HQ’s.

YP25 Merchandise at 3 locations with the following hours of operation:

  1. Blackfoot Hotel HQ’s
    1. If you pre-ordered gear it is available at Blackfoot only 
  2. RISE Sports Complex 
  3. Prolific Sports - North Saville Centre only)
  4. Hours of operation:
    1. Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm
    2. Saturday 11:am to 6:00pm
    3. Sunday 11:00am to 4:00pm

We’ve added a fun option for families attending YP25 this year on Saturday there will be:

  • a balloon artist, making balloon animals for the kids and a face painter at the PSH-North from 11:00am to 3:00pm
  • at the RISE Sportsplex we will have an airbrush tattoo artist on site from 11:00am to 3:00pm. 

We are excited to be in Calgary; grateful to all the volunteers that have stepped up to assist and thankful for our hosting partners; CMBA and EYBA.

We are looking forward to seeing you all this weekend and celebrating the accomplishments of all the athletes, coaches and administrators. See you on the court!
